About Me

A little backstory is in order as I feel that many of you don't know much about me. My name is Elise, I’ve been doing tarot professionally for over 4 years and I started on Etsy. Being a Scorpio sun could be why I'm a bit more reserved and secretive - typical Scorpio behaviour. However, I love being honest and open - and sometimes I get the urge to show the world who I truly am before retreating back into my shell.

When I was a child, I would sneak into my mum’s room to go and grab her crystals, runes, and Oracle cards. I remember quite a few Saturday mornings when I would wake up early and do readings on myself. She kept one particular deck inside a black and purple silk pouch, and it had the most beautiful imagery on it, it all felt so magical at the time. It was of course a Doreen Virtue Angel Oracle Deck. I still remember a few of the cards. But I’m assuming my mum grew tired of me grabbing out her cards because eventually, she bought me my very own fairy deck. I wish I had kept this deck! I was fascinated with everything spiritual - I even used to read my mum’s books about psychics, witchcraft, and palmistry - I didn’t truly understand a lot of what was written, but I was obsessed! I loved the feeling of connecting to a higher power.

As a teen, I would use playing cards to do readings for my friends in school. I hadn't yet picked up a tarot deck - I didn’t know that tarot existed up until I was 21. That was when I did a tarot course with a known local psychic, from then on I was obsessed. I felt a much deeper connection to tarot and loved that it was a lot more complex compared to the oracle cards and playing cards I had been using. For most of my twenties, I would do readings for friends, family and of course myself. I always had a "no bullshit" approach with my readings, and I disliked sugarcoating things, that is what sparked the idea to do "No BS Tarot Readings" and that is how Bitchy Tarot was created. This all happened in 2020 when I felt the urge to start professionally reading tarot. This also led to me learning more about the Law of Assumption.

When I first started this journey, I had no confidence and felt like a total noob, but the little voice within was pushing for me to give this path a go - so, I said "fuck it, what do I have to lose?". From then on, things have transformed and progressed in such an amazing way - now that I am in my 30s, I have grown and matured, and this has led to me having more of a fascination with the mindset and how tarot can play a part in helping people discover what's going on within themselves. Tarot and manifestation go hand in hand, so I feel that I have truly picked the right path to follow - my passion is to help others have the best mindset and self-concept - it can lead to true happiness in life.
