Shower Thoughts - A Challenge

When it comes to manifesting, working on your self-concept or learning to get into the state of having/being - it can be difficult to keep on top of it all. Sometimes, it might even not be clear what work you need to do with your mindset, which thoughts are causing blocks, or pushing you back a few steps with your manifestation journey. The mind is always thinking new thoughts, old thoughts, intrusive thoughts - it’s constantly working overtime, so it can be difficult to stay on top of it, and you need to remember not every thought will manifest and cause issues with your self-concept, but it’s not impossible to discipline your mind and lessen these shitty thought patterns.

But how do we figure out if we do have a disciplined mind?

One way to figure that out is to do this challenge. It is a fun, yet difficult challenge. I’ll be honest, I have failed multiple times trying this and I’m still yet to succeed. This will shed light on what patterns you may have that you need to get on top of and it will definitely prove whether you are disciplined or not.

If you’re good at meditation, focusing on one thought or no thoughts, and you have gotten the knack of emptying your mind - then you may be able to accomplish this. I’d love to hear updates!

The Challenge

The next time you take a shower, pick something you want to manifest or change your mindset about, and that is going to be the only thing you’re allowed to think about while showering. You need to try and stay in the state, live in the end, and stop your mind from wandering to negative thinking.

For example, let’s say you want to get into a better headspace about the way you look, then the entire time that you’re in the shower, you are only going to think things that are positive about your appearance. You will compliment yourself, imagine other people complimenting you, affirm positive things about how you look, and even pick favourite things you find about yourself - do everything to avoid the opposite thoughts from coming in. Hype yourself up, be your own cheerleader, and don’t talk shit about yourself during this time.

If you find that your mind is all over the place, unable to stay focused, and jumping from thought to thought, then this shows that you need to discipline your mind. And you can do so by practising the shower challenge daily.

Another example could be if you’re trying to manifest money and success. You can’t allow negative thoughts to consume your mind and give you anxiety, instead, you will think things like “It’s so nice to have financial stability” or “I’m so glad I can afford anything I want” or “my success is always praised by those around me”. You will affirm, envision, or even say out loud positive things to yourself about money and success. If you can manage to do this the entire shower, then you have a very disciplined mind and should be proud of yourself.

Remember, this is just a fun challenge to try, if you fail - don’t be hard on yourself, it’s just practice! And if you make a routine out of doing this, then it will get easier and you’ll begin to notice a positive shift with your mindset and thought patterns.

This challenge is meant to help you get into the state and live in the end, or it’s going to show you that your mind may need a bit more discipline. Either way, have fun with it, persist and try, try, try again until you get it, that’s my plan for myself!
